Classes + Workshops + Events

 

Calling All Teachers and Presenters in our Community!

We have a lovely event space available to hold classes, workshops, meetings, and events in. The room holds 12 seated comfortably, 15 if you’re feeling cozy. (Maybe 10 spots for yoga mats.) There is a full kitchen, coffee and tea pots available (please provide your own coffee and tea). There is a bathroom just for the event space as well. It has natural light and balcony access that can seat about 10. On warm days it would be great for art workshops. There is a couch and folding chairs and a couple of tables available in the space. We post all classes and events on Facebook and Instagram and we are happy to hand out and put up the fliers you create.

I need a three week lead time for all classes, preferably a month. This allows for time to inform our community, them to sign up, and get a buzz going.

Cost to hold classes, workshops, or events is 30% of the cost of the class (per person), or $40 an hour for meetings or ‘no charge’ events. Email Cynthia at Cynthia@herbsandarts.com to schedule a walk through of the space, and submit a proposal to schedule your event.

Please provide at least 3 different date options with times, the cost you are going to charge, and the name and a brief summary of the proposal for the class or workshop. How long you expect the class to be etc.

Please note unfortunately our event space is not wheelchair accessible, but our store is.

All Experience Levels Welcome

Divination Reading Share

Come meet other community members who want to practice their divinatory arts with others. All are welcome, no matter your skill level. You will be partnered with different people throughout the night to get different perspectives. Bring your favorite tarot, oracle deck, or another divinatory objects. Some will read tea leaves, practice pendulums, or even read palms. Any divination technique is welcome.

This is a monthly recurring 2 hour class at Herbs & Arts. 

Date: Every Third Thursday of the month, at 6:15 pm - 8:30pm Cost: $10. 

This class can be prepaid or paid the night of in store, or online. No refunds for cancellations or missed classes.

Monthly Pagan Chant Circle

Do you like to sing?

Want to learn some new chants?

We gather to fill the world with healing and song, and we have fun here!

Do you have some favorite pagan songs to share? Come Build your ritual and spell repertoire.

Join us for our monthly gathering of song sharing and singing.  Feel free to bring a journal or record the sessions.

We will meet once a month on Sundays from 2 to 4 pm at Herbs and Arts.  Most months we will meet on the second Sunday (except June 2026).

Last-minute walk-in attendees are welcome to join us if there is still space available. 

Both folding chairs and floor seatbacks are available, however be aware that there are about 15 steps up a staircase with a good handrail to enter the room we will be meeting in.

    8 WEEK CLASS SERIES

    Witchcraft Basics: Building a Daily Practice

    Join your teacher, Shen-Tat, and other students, learning the basics of Witchcraft in both Theory and Practice. This 8 week, cumulative series will impart to you the skills and experience you need in order to take the basic practices of Witchcraft and burst them out into a robust daily self practice. The content, context and exercises of the series all are taken from Traditional Craft, and I will be blending specifically AlGard with Reclaiming and Feri initiatory practices, theory and technology.

    This series is BYOJ: Bring Your Own Journal. All other necessary supplies or materials will be provided to students for the exercises in this series, which is Paperless. The only take-aways will be your own work, your own unfolding inner-mystery, and the spells we create during class time together. You are encouraged to bring a reusable bag to tote your spells after the class.

    New Series Class Start Date: Wednesday May 27th

    IF YOU MISS THE FIRST CLASS YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT SERIES TO BEGIN!

    Class Time: Class occurs every Wednesday at 6:15 pm class start time, please arrive before 6 pm as the store closes at 6 pm! The class has a run time of 2 hours.

    If you wish, you may arrive at 5:30 pm before class start time: For time to chat

    Bring your own sack dinner, we will eat and chat, Shen-tat will answer any questions or concerns from the previous week's class if you wish, or just share space, food, laughter.

    Class Cost: $50 for the entire 8 weeks! THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS FOR MISSED CLASSES! You must be able to attend every class. Please check your schedules!

    Witchcraft Basics ~ Building a Daily Practice: Class Break Out by Week

      Class 1: From out of the Womb of The Mother

      Learn to be "Properly Prepared" as a Witch to enter into Sacred Space, making the Self ready to weave magic, to bend and alter reality, and to make and break sacred contracts.

      Learn to cleanse and prepare physical space, including the creation of The Sacred Circle.

      Class 3: Collecting Allies to Stand in Your Power

      Learn to summon and use the power of Deity, Guardians, Ancestors and Guides of both affinity and of blood relation as you perform your practice.

      Learn the first steps of effective spellcasting, the circumscription of your own Intent and Will.

      Learn to commune with and begin a dialog with your own inner divinity.

    • Class Culminates with an Optional Dedication Ritual~ Seeing the Rainbow Bridge

      Illuminating Self against Quakoralina and the curved-black bowl of space: For any student, who has completed the entire series of classes, and who also wishes to take their place at a dedication ritual to the Craft, it will be unlocked and scheduled at the end of each series.
