Collection: Essential Oils

Essential oils are concentrated, volatile, aromatic substances made through either a cold-pressed extraction process, as in the case of citrus oils, or through steam distillation or hydro-distillation. Made from a variety of plant materials, which includes: roots, rhizomes, heartwood, tree bark, leaves, needles, flowers, fruits, and seeds, the amount of essential oil that any of these botanicals provide, varies. For instance, it takes two-hundred pounds of Lavender Buds to create sixteen ounces of essential oil, this translates down to just under one hundred grams of lavender buds to create ½ milliliter of essential oil, or 10-15 drops.

Essential Oils are NEVER recommended for internal use.
