Class "The BOS" Series 11 Weeks

BOS = BOOK OF SHADOWS 

This class is a deep dive and magickal creative experience centered around the creation of a sacred tool that is a must have for every practitioner. No matter the area or the level of practice folks are at, The BOS classroom is a perfect opportunity for folks looking to create their first magickal journal, or for those looking to get back into the practice of keeping a functional BOS by hand. Come join us while we get creative and Witchy in mirth and reverence!

This is an 11 week class series beginning Friday March 13th at 6pm - 8pm.

Cost is $21 for each individual class or get a discount by purchasing all 11 for $211!

Class Break Down

Week 1: What is a Book of Shadows?

Exploring the spiritual, historic and personal purposes for the BOS.

Week 2: Who needs a BOS and why?

Identify your personal purpose, energy, and use for your BOS.

Week 3: What's the plan?

Designing your book to fit your purposes for it. Choosing a theme, aesthetic, function etc. Create a rough layout/guideline that you plan on using or revisit your original intentions.

Week 4: History 

Origins, lineage, and parallels. Oral vs. written knowledge/record keeping.

Week 5: Sacred and Secret Alphabets, Texts, & Symbols.

Learn or revisit using magickal symbols, alphabets, and more for energetic focus. We will briefly go over various alphabets and symbols for use in your BOS.

Week 6: Sigils and Common Magickal Symbols

Basics of Sigil creation and symbol usage. Energetic sealing for your book, pages, info, and more.

Week 7: Materials Physical and Magickal

Choose or create pages, covers, etc., while considering using different dyes, inks, embellishments or keeping it simple. You decide what and why.

Week 8: Create or Choose your Book.

Book bindings, covers, construction, and processes.

Week 9: Pre-printed Pages vs. Creating Your Own

Exploring art, aesthetics, ephemera, function, and approach to the pages of your BOS. Should one consider buying preprinted or artist created pages? Why and when might it be necessary?

Week 10: Cleansing and Consecration of The BOS.

Let's cleanse and consecrate your new BOS for use or let's cleanse and reconsecrate the one you're using.

Week 11: Integration and ongoing relationship.

We'll wrap it up with a discussion and review of any goals, progress, or concerns with maintaining your BOS as a living practice, evolving, and a magickal companion.
