Learn to Develop Your Psychic Gifts

by Kendara Laurel

Everyone is Psychic. It is all about discovering where your psychic strengths are and learning how to use them. There are four major gifts, known as the ‘Claires’. Let’s discuss each of them briefly.

The four gifts are: a

·      Psychic Seeing (Clairvoyance)

·      Psychic Hearing (Clairaudience)

·      Psychic Knowing (Claircognizance)

·      Psychic Feeling (Clairsentience).

Clairvoyance – or Psychic Seeing, can be literal or figurative. The psychic reception area for this sense is the center of the forehead (aka the Third-eye). A good way to develop this sense is to close your eyes and imagine giving a rose to someone you know. The images you see, when you do this, will tell you something about your relationship with them. For instance, if the rose turns larger and brighter, the connection between you and the person receiving your rose might be considered loving, if it turns darker or smaller that could indicate that the person is less loving or giving then you.

Clairsentience – or Psychic Feeling is the second gift. The psychic reception area for this is the Solar Plexus. This is the one extrasensory channel most often linked to a physical sensation. People who are strong in this are also empaths and can easily pick up the emotions or feelings of others.  Because of this, it is a good idea to either carry a dark crystal (such as shungite or black tourmaline to keep grounded). You may also try seeing yourself surrounded by a golden light. People who have this gift are often wonderfully gifted healers. A great way to develop this gift is through psychometry. Hold an object belonging to a friend, in your hand and note the impressions you receive in your Solar Plexus. Share your impressions with that person.

Clairaudience – or Psychic Hearing is the third psychic gift, and one I am strongest in.  The psychic reception areas for this are the bony areas located on either side of the head above ear level, also called the temporal lobe. An effective way to develop this gift is to listen to a piece of music and focus on just one instrument which is playing. Another method is to meditate and focus on a keyword for the specific situation you are about to experience. For example, if I were having an interview the next day then I would focus my intuition on a key word or phrase to prepare me for the event. For instance, in this case ’research’, might be the word. I would get the idea that I needed to do research on the company.  Another example might be if you were meeting a friend’s family, you might get the word ‘low key’, meaning to be relaxed in their company and not to be too excitable. Try doing focusing ten to fifteen minutes before meeting someone this is usually the best time to tune in on your intuition. Hold the person and circumstance in mind by picturing, feeling or thinking about them. Mentally ask questions like: ‘How can I best approach this person or situation’. Don’t try or force the impressions, breathe, and relax, see what comes. Be sure to write down the answers or make a mental note of them to review before your meeting.

Claircognizance – or Psychic Knowing is the fourth psychic gift, and most resembles the kind of instantaneous knowing that has been associated with psychic gifts. The reception area for claircognizance is located at the top of the head. To intuitively evaluate a person, or future event via Psychic Knowing, focus your awareness upward and note your intuitive first impression.   Another wonderful way to develop this, and all your gifts, is through daily meditation which quiets your mind and allows you to receive. This psychic gift can refer to getting insight on passed events as well as future events. Let’s say a friend seemed angry with you and you had no idea why. As you tuned in, you realized you owed them money, which you had forgotten to pay back.

I hope this gives you an idea about the four major gifts. The main thing is not to compare yourself to others.  Henery Van Dyke said, "The woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best".

I hope you will be able to join me on September 6th from 12:30-3pm at Herbs and Arts to discover and learn to develop your gifts.
