Calendula ABS CO2 Essential Oil

Latin Name: Calendula officinalis 

The calendula flower has very little aromatic oils and can not be steam distilled as an essential oil. In order to get any of the phytochemicals into an essential oil it requires a lot of calendula flowers and a chemical extraction. It takes 15 to 20 pounds of dried flowers to make 1 ounce of essential oil so it is precious, expensive, and rare. This is for external application only or for magical use. Always dilute an essential oil with a carrier oil before applying.

If you ever find a cheap version of a calendula essential oil be wary as it is most likely an infused oil or a highly diluted oil not a true essential oil.
