Tangerine Quartz forms naturally when iron oxides, like hematite, coat or are included within clear quartz crystals as they grow in hydrothermal environments or other silica-rich areas under high heat and pressure. This process, where the iron-rich minerals are deposited onto the quartz during its formation, causes the quartz to take on a distinctive orange, red-orange, or rusty color. Can be found in Brazil and Madagascar.
