Eshu The Divine Trickster God Of The Yoruba

Eshu is a primordial god of the Yoruba people, he is a trickster god that holds the power over luck and misfortune. He uses this power to afflict people with temptation and difficulties in order for them to mature. He is also the god of the crossroads, the protector of travelers, and the messenger of all Orishas. As the Yoruba religion spreads around the world, the name of Eshu has varied in different locations, but the beliefs remain similar.
